It’s been a meaningful stretch for GoBU, marked by growth, refinement, and fresh vision. In every moment, God has been faithful, and we’re excited to share what He’s been doing among us.

With DJ Sammy Praise curating the vibes, this exclusive listening party promises to be unforgettable. - Introducing GoBU Unplugged:
For those drawn to Lo-Fi worship, Christian neo-soul, and jazz, our newest platform—GoBU Unplugged—was created with you in mind. Inspired by the intimacy of NPR’s Tiny Desk, this experience features our very own live brass band and a rotating lineup of incredible artists leading the night with original songs.
Expect moments of improv, audience participation, and communal worship. This funky, soulful worship hour will take place before The Kikbak, at the same venue, hosted inside the coffee shop. - Serving on MLK Day:
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, join us as GoBU provides music for RCC Houston’s Annual MLK Day of Service—a powerful opportunity to worship through service, unity, and love for our city.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
- Expanding Our Reach on Campus:
Our GoBU stage was rented by TSU, Prairie View A&M, and Lamar University to support several fall campus events—allowing us to serve students and institutions with excellence while expanding our footprint beyond traditional ministry spaces. - Community Partnerships & Celebration:
Agape Development partnered with GoBU for their 20th Birthday Bash, renting our stage and entrusting us to curate the music that helped set the celebratory, festival-style atmosphere for the night. - Pilates & Worship – A First for GoBU:
We hosted our very first Pilates & Worship experience in partnership with RCC Houston and Mayim Chaim Wholeness, creating space for holistic worship that honored both the body and the Spirit. - The Evolution of The Kikbak:
After a year of cultivating a Christian nightlife–style experience in Houston, we recognized a growing need for a non-compromising space designed specifically for adult believers—a place for community outside the four walls of the local church.
The Kikbak became that space: intentional, vibrant, and Christ-centered—featuring good food, handcrafted mocktails, interactive games for connection, live DJ sets, and creative expressions like live music, spoken word, and rap battles. - Closing 2025 with Impact:
We closed out our final Kikbak of 2025 with a bang—featuring Porsha Love, Meezo, and Taylor in concert, a fashion show, and an incredible lineup of Christian vendors. The night was filled with joy, connection, and genuine ministry, and everyone in attendance walked away both encouraged and blessed.
