THE KIKBAK, EXACTLY WHAT OUR CITY NEEDS!
The Kikbak has become a vibrant hub for young believers from across the city, thanks to God's grace. It's a place where community thrives, and young adults come together to enjoy God-honoring art, music, and delicious eats, treats and non-alcoholic drinks. With a focus on creating a safe, Christ- centered vibe, the Kikbak offers a refreshing alternative for those seeking meaningful connections in a lively atmosphere.
This year kicked off with an unforgettable open mic event last month, setting the tone for what's to come. Next up is our first Kikbak concert featuring Houston's own MsK Lanee' and Tomi Abdon. Don't miss out—grab your tickets and witness the incredible work God is doing through the ministry of Christian nightlife in downtown.
INTIMATE NIGHT OF ART, COFFEE AND LOFI WORSHIP
Imagine an evening where art meets the soothing vibes lofi worship and rich coffee —this is what awaits you at GoBU’s Drip, Sip and Paint event hosted on the GoBU mobile stage! Join us from 6-8pm on Saturday, March 1st, for a unique experience that promises relaxation and creativity. Whether you're an art enthusiast or just looking to unwind, this intimate gathering is the perfect opportunity to express yourself and connect with like-minded believers. It's been 8 years since the GoBU ministry began, inspired by a vision God gave CC Achilefu in college. God has faithfully sustained it, bringing talented volunteers, ministry opportunities, and supporters like you to provide platforms for Christ-like creatives to spread the gospel in new ways.
GoBU has blessed our city and beyond, and we plan to continue until Christ returns. To celebrate our anniversary, we invite you to join us in one or all of these ways:

GoBU has been providing Christian music and entertainment for the past 8 years and is now bringing Christ-centered nightlife to our city. This season, we are focusing on three things:
Growing Urban Christian Social Nights - The Kikbak: We are building The Kikbak to encourage the body of Christ among 21-35 year olds. Our goal is to help them connect, improve social skills, strengthen their faith, and enjoy clean fun.
Hosting 3 ACTs (Art+Christ=Transformation): We plan to host three ACT events this year.
Producing Visual Radio: We are restarting the production of visual radio.
In this season, we truly need more people to invest in the ministry of GoBU. Whether $1000, $100, $10 a month, or any amount, your support fuels our mission. Will you invest today?
LET US PRAY FOR …
We are seeking prayer and support for two important needs: securing funding for the Kikbak and finding a passionate Part-Time Admin Assistant to join our GoBU family. Funding will help us hire necessary Kikbak staff like security guards, broaden our marketing efforts and acquire better insurance. We believe this task is not too big for our God! Additionally, we are looking for volunteers with a heart for ministry, who loves organizing and who thrives in a dynamic environment, to support our events, and engage with the community. Join us in prayer that our Father will send additional monthly financial partners, connect us with supportive influences to promote the event, and help us find additional cost-effective marketing strategies.

Our goal is for this journey to be filled with opportunities to connect with the stunning landscapes, experience the vibrant culture of Rwanda, and to learn and serve with a few thriving ministries in Rwanda.
